What is C4?

C4 (Concerned Citizens for a Creative Community) is a non-profit organization that fosters arts through the promotion of art programs and projects. We value education and public awareness of arts and culture while placing an emphasis on participation.

C4 functions entirely on volunteer support, including the Board and an amazing, energetic and inspiring community of friends, supporters, creatives, leaders and allies.

Article III

(Purpose)

To promote the common good and general welfare of the Rochester, MN community through:

  • Sponsorship and organizational of community, cultural and recreational events
  • Beautification of public areas within the Rochester, MN community
  • Education of the public on various artistic and cultural subjects

Who is on the C4 Board?

The board is made up of local artists and arts patrons. Having a mix of various people with different skill sets is what has made C4 thrive. making connections with city officials and local business owners, and connecting local creatives to resources not readily available to them are a couple of tasks that the board members carry out.

Cassandra Buck
Cassandra graduated with a Bachelors degree in Art Education from Winona State University. She taught a middle school art for 7 years and is currently working as a full time artist. She is a leader within the local art community and is an advocate for women in the arts. She is also the creator of Rochester’s first contemporary artist collective Gallery 24.
Annie Henderson
Annie Henderson
Annie Henderson owns and operates Forager Brewery and Kutzky Market. She prioritizes having multiple galleries on site, extensive art programming and works with local artists in all capacities to help the art ecosystem of Rochester. She is the cofounder of C4 and excited to be a part of the board again.

Jeffrey Jurewicz
Jeffrey Jurewicz is a visual artist, poet, and dabbler in many mediums. Through his work with C4 and the RACC he helps support his fellow artists and advocates for a culturally vibrant Rochester.
Bobby Marinez
Bobby Marinez
Bobby Marines is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Rochester, MN. He is a 2015 Established Artist grant recipient through Southeast Minnesota Arts Council. His work has been exhibited in multiple solo and group shows and has been featured in local and national publications that include Washington Post, Star Tribune, and Corpus Christi Caller Times.

Anna Reasner
Anna Reasner is a local marketing student and artist, active community member and volunteer. She utilizes various administrative, visual and performing art skills to advance local arts advocacy.

Philip Taylor
Philip Taylor is a professional artist living and working in Rochester, Minnesota. Above and beyond his artwork, his contributions to the local art community include mentoring and advocating for artists and collaborating with community organizations to innovate and grow the arts community in Rochester.
